Want to ride with family and friends? The Ride Together feature lets you add a guest to a one-time ride. Just tap the icon next to “Scan.” 

Once a Ride Together ride starts, your friend just needs to enter their information into your app to join the ride. When the ride ends, both rides are billed to the host. If the host is a member, their membership rates will apply to the cost of their ride. Just scan your friend’s bike or scooter and then your own in the app to start riding!

If riding bikes, both bikes must be unlocked at the same station. However, both bikes don't have to be returned to the same station. Additionally, low assist mode for ebikes is not available when using Ride Together.

Additionally, Annual, Corporate, and Lyft Pink members have access to 5 free unlocks a year, which will automatically apply when using Ride Together. This means when using the Ride Together feature, you can unlock a friend’s ride for free up to 5 times per year. If you use a free unlock, the applicable ride will be billed at the same price as a member’s ride. Upon membership renewal, your amount of free unlocks will reset back to 5.
