Become a member online or purchase a short-term pass from the app or kiosk to use the Divvy system.

Through the app: 

• Download the app (available for both Android and iPhone users)
• Tap the three horizontal bars in the upper left corner and tap Ride plans
• Select the membership or pass you'd like to purchase
• Follow the prompts to add a credit/debit card* and create an account with your email.
• Once you've purchased your pass, tap on the station icon you’re at on the map
• Select Scan to unlock and allow camera access on your app
• Scan the QR code located on the front of the bike
• When the light on the dock turns green, lift the bike by the seat to remove it from the dock
• Enjoy your ride!

At a kiosk:

• Press the "Rent a bike" button on the screen
• Insert your credit or debit card (prepaid or gift cards not accepted)
• Choose how many bikes you'd like
• Select your pass type
• Print your ride code
• Type your ride code into the keypad on the bike dock(s) within 5 minutes
• When the light on the dock turns green, lift the bike by the seat to remove it from the dock
• Enjoy your ride!

Gifted memberships:

You’ll get two emails after you checkout:

1. One email for you with your receipt
2. One email for the recipient with steps to start using the membership

The gift code does not expire, and works until your recipient uses it. Gift memberships cannot be returned or refunded.
 

If you received a gifted membership, follow these steps to redeem:

1. Open the Divvy app
2. Tap the menu in the top left corner
3. Tap Annual Membership > Join Now > Enter promo code
4. Enter the code sent to your email address
5. Once you tap "Activate," you'll be all set!

If you already have an active membership, no worries! You just need to turn off auto-renew on your current membership and let it expire. Once your current membership expires, you can redeem the gifted membership.
 

You can turn off auto-renew by going to Menu > Select your membership > Manage plan > Cancel plan in the Divvy app.

While riding, make sure you stick to the time limits specified in your membership plan: 3 hours for day passes and 45 minutes for annual members. Rides that go beyond those times are subject to additional fees.

End your ride by ensuring your bike is properly locked. Return your bike to any Divvy station by pushing the bike firmly into the dock. Wait for the green light to ensure it’s locked.
